Blog Investigation Week 1

 Theme

The theme I plan on exploring for my first project is how a bunch of small things over the day can lead to someone being overwhelmed and defeated even if all those things themselves aren't that big a deal. the reason I'm using little ghosts or spirits that are modeled after the symbols of different ancient gods is to show that everyone had and still can be affected by these small events the same. that is why each emotion's god is from a different mythos. Love is Egyptian, Confusion is Greek, Malice is Christian, Joy is Roman so on and so forth. Also I was going to make the setting somewhat futuristic to show that this feeling will also proceed to happen to people in the future.

Inspiration

Character Design

Hu Tao and her Ghost (Genin Impact)

My inspiration for the spirits was HuTao's ghost from Ganshin Impact. While Genshin Impact doesn't have anything to do with my theme the ghost Hu Tao has is just the right level of eye catching and unnoticeable that I want the spits to have. Since they would be sticking around for the whole animation they need to be there but not intrusive but also can't be completely gone or else that would ruin the whole message of the animation.

Setting

Piltover & Zaun (LoL)
What inspired me for the setting was Piltover and Zaun from League of Legends. This is because it has both sides of what the future could be. Piltover is the top half of the image; it is bright and uses many warm colours in an attempt to show how great the future could be. While Zuan, the bottom half, is much darker and scarier showing how awful the future could end up being. the reason I wish to use this in my animation is to help establish the permanence how there will always be days when someone gets overwhelmed by mynute things no matter how good or bad the future is.
