Make up (Week 6)

In the Pixar movie Brave, character design is one of the best things it does. The reason for this is because each Character while historically accurate also shows what kind of person they are. Merida has a tight dress with ripped seems and a confident but not proper postiche to show her rebellious nature while in contrast her mother has a looser dress green dress with gold highlights plus perfect postiche making her seem powerful not because a crown is backing her but from her own will.

    Brave inspired me to look at more than just making a model look good but to also look at what each little thing could possibly mean. In addition to this something that each character in the movie has is a particle system for their hair instead of having a mesh making the characters much more detailed. If I were to follow suit like I wish to I would probably use the following tutorial. However this is only if I believe at the time that with the addition of the particle system it would still be possible to render in time

    Going back to the way brave uses clothing I would like to note how most of the clothing is hanging on the models like real clothing would instead of being attached like how most animated movies do clothing. if I were to do the same I would use a combination of these tutorials.
