Blog Investigation Week 3

Process This week did not have as much progress as I would have liked. What was meant to be done last week had some hiccups so it bled into this week there by pushing back the whole production. One such hiccup is that do to a change in blender I had to relearn to texture glass plus Anger's design proved to be to difficult to execute there by requiring a redesign. In addition to Anger's redesign sadness's cloud proved to also provide some trouble. The method of which making the cloud turned out to crash blender thereby making it much more difficult to create, though this problem was solved by creating the cloud much smaller transforming it into a mesh and then scaling it up to the desired size. I believe this worked because it lowered the amount of necessary vertices  On top of the character design issues there was trouble in the creation of the setting originally. this did not  prove to be a reoccurring issues but it was a tad difficult to make sure the mesh of the first ro...

Theme     The theme I plan on exploring for my first project is how a bunch of small things over the day can lead  to someone being overwhelmed and defeated even if all those things themselves aren't that big a deal. the reason I'm using little ghosts or spirits that are modeled after the symbols of different ancient gods is to show that everyone had and still can be affected by these small events the same. that is why each emotion's god is from a different mythos. Love is Egyptian, Confusion is Greek, Malice is Christian, Joy is Roman so on and so forth. Also I was going to make the setting somewhat futuristic to show that this feeling will also proceed to happen to people in the future. Inspiration Character  Design Hu Tao and her Ghost (Genin Impact) My inspiration for the spirits was HuTao's ghost from Ganshin Impact. While Genshin Impact doesn't have anything to do with my theme the ghost Hu Tao has is just the right level of...

What I learned About Text and Image      What I learned about Text and Image is that it is a method of using two vague ideas combining them to create a vivid coherent piece. And that pieces made via this method while lacking their own emotional impact can be more specific in either the emotion or reaction the view has. How Contemporary Artists Use Text and Image in Their Works      Contemporary artists use Text and image in their works mostly to represent either some belief or an opinion. It could be political like Shepard Fairey or it could be about society as a whole like Banksy. The reason Text and image is used more often than other methods is because it lets the artist be more specific in what their art represents. Where a piece that uses more abstract methods can end up being vague and up for interpretation by the view, a piece with text and images, while still up for interpretation, can narrow down the possible meanings therefore having an easier...
